Michael Genadry
Michael Robert Genadry was born on March 20 1978 and grew up in Millbrook NY. Michael Genadry is most noted for his acting career and appearance as a supporting character on the TV show entitled ED. In this TV show Michael Genadry played a character by the name of Mark Vanacore and Genadry appeared on 22 episodes of the sitcom until it was canceled in 2004. The character of Mark Vanacore was a thoughtful young man who was also a hit with the ladies which is a twist from the usual sitcom premise because Mark Vanacore was large. The character of Mark Vanacore saw a change in appearance when Genadry decided to get a gastric bypass surgery in order to reduce his weight and decrease his appetite. This surgical procedure has also been done on other notable actors such as Al Roker from the today show on NBC.Though he did not have the surgery until 2 years had passed after the realization that his life may be in danger because of his weight, Genadry decided to have his gastric bypass surgery at age 25. Micheal Genadry was an overbearing 500 pounds when he played the role of Mark Vanacore on the tv sitcom Ed but soon after his gastric bypass he had dropped 100 pounds and was in the more accommodating 400 pound range. When Genadry had his gastric bypass surgery performed the character he played on Ed had a similar surgery in correspondence. The surgery that Genadry had was one of the most risky kinds of gastric bypass surgeries and the death rate for it was 1 in 300 people though Genadry went through it without a problem. Genadry was quoted in people magazine saying that he had been a big teenager and by age 14 he had reached over 300 pounds. There is not much known about Genadry after his role on the tv show Ed was over.
